Honeymoon Places Ideas ("we", "us") is owned and operated by Golaf Digital Ventures LLC, Loganville, Georgia, United States. This policy explains what personal information we collect through honeymoonplacesideas.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

  • Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter, request a free guide, or ask a question through our contact form.
  • Order details — when you buy a digital product, we store your email address, the item purchased, the order status, and a payment reference. Card numbers never reach our servers.
  • Planning details — if you buy a personalised honeymoon plan, the answers you enter in the planning form (travel dates, budget, preferences, and any notes you choose to share) so we can write your plan.
  • Messages — anything you write to us through the contact form.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and referring website. We use this in aggregate to understand which guides are useful.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — small files used to keep the site working, measure traffic, and credit affiliate partners for bookings (see below).

How we use your information

  • To send the emails and guides you asked for, and to deliver what you purchased.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer support for orders.
  • To measure which content performs well and improve our guides.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and technical problems.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your email address with advertisers.

Affiliate links and tracking

Some outbound links to hotels, tours and travel products are affiliate links. When you click one, the partner network may set a cookie so any resulting booking is credited to us. This does not change your price. Full detail is in our affiliate disclosure.

Service providers we rely on

We use a small number of vetted providers who process data on our behalf: our website hosting and database platform (site delivery, newsletter and order records), our payment processor (card payments and receipts), our email delivery provider (newsletter and order emails), our analytics and search-performance tools (aggregate traffic data), and affiliate networks (booking attribution). Each is bound to use the data only to provide their service to us.

Payments

Purchases are processed by our payment provider. They collect and store your card details under their own privacy policy and PCI-compliant security standards. We receive only the confirmation, the amount, the last digits of the card, and the email address you used.

Email and unsubscribing

Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time from our unsubscribe page. We will still send transactional emails relating to an order you have placed.

How long we keep data

Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Order and planning records are kept for seven years to satisfy tax and accounting rules. Contact-form messages are kept for up to two years. Aggregate analytics are retained without identifying you personally.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in the UK and EU, and the CCPA/CPRA in California — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it. To make a request, use our contact form and we will respond within 30 days. We will never charge you or treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.

Children

This site is intended for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the US and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls limiting it to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password anywhere you create an account with us.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be announced in our newsletter.
