How to time a March honeymoon
Time Kyoto to the blossom forecast. Kyoto's cherry blossom usually peaks between about March 26 and April 5. Book accommodation 6–10 months out and keep two flexible days at either end — the bloom shifts by a week each year.
Avoid US spring-break weeks in Mexico. Tulum, Cancun and Riviera Maya fill with spring-break crowds through mid-March. Late March is calmer, and prices soften with it.
March is Costa Rica's driest month. Guanacaste and the Pacific coast are reliably sunny — the best window of the year for combining rainforest and beach without rain days.
Bali is a smart value pick. The wet season is winding down and rates are still low. Expect afternoon showers rather than washouts, and villa prices well below July–August.
